Insect Production R&D Associate (F/M/X)

For our production location in 84564 Oberbergkirchen, we are looking for employees for R&D and production. The unit produces young larvae with which the customer plants are supplied. In addition, various trials are carried out to optimise insect fattening. In this entry level position you will play a crucial role in our insect production operations. Your responsibilities will encompass daily production tasks and ensuring the cleanliness and efficiency of the production area.

Working hours can be flexible within the core working hours. You will be required to work at weekends, which will be satisfied. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to undergo training to enhance your skills and knowledge in insect biology, safety protocols, language proficiency, and workplace communication.

Responsibilities

• Performing daily production tasks related to insect production, including harvesting and sieving, exchange of eggs and pupae, and more
• Engage in regular cleaning and maintenance of the production area
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines during production activities
• Collaborate with team members to achieve production targets and goals
• Monitoring and documentation of all process parameters (e.g. harvest quantity)

• BSc or MSc in entomology, biology, agricultural sciences, animal sciences, or a related discipline or an apprenticeship in agriculture fields or other relevant experience.
• Good English and basic German language skills
• Good technical understanding and manual skills
• Possession of a valid driver's license class B (formerly driving license class 3)
• Basic Microsoft Office skills
